Jajce city which truly bears epithet “royal” as it has been the residence of the Bosnian Kings. It is World’s only city with natural waterfall in the city centre and birthplace of Yugoslavia, but even more.
Once there, first thing we go and see is one of the World’s most beautiful waterfalls, and the only one in the World placed in the city center, famous Pliva Waterfalls – spot where Pliva river ends its flow and meets Vrbas is simply breathtaking.
After we bless our eyes and soul we good for a walking tour through Jajce. We visit Medvjed Kula, the Tower of St. Luke, famous Catacombs – underground church, one of the World’s very few mosques named after woman – Mosque of Esma Sultanija, and much more. All followed with interesting stories.
As soon as stomach is full and we got deserved rest we continue where our next stop – Bihac.
Bihać is the capital of Una-Sana Canton and it is located in the north-west part of BiH. The relief of the Bihać municipality is mostly made of fields, hills and mounts. Large part of this municipality is rich in springs, streams and rivers. The Bihać area has a moderate mountain climate, which is rather diverse because of the influences of air masses from the neighboring areas and beyond. Summers are warm and dry; winters are cold with abundant precipitations. Mountains and unique Una river (with stunning falls like strbački Buk) makes this destination ideal for outdoor activities like rafting, king and mountainbiking.
